The Importance Of Employee AttendanceEmployee attendance is extremely important to any business. If your employees are taking an excessive amount of days off this can lead to problems with production. How can that project meet its deadline if the key people are not completing their tasks because they are out for one reason or another. This will cause you to lose a lot of money and lose many other jobs. Tracking your employee's attendance is a great way to get the control that you need to maintain a good successful business. If you track the attendance then you can begin to offer them rewards for incentive to show up day after day. Rewards can range from movie tickets, dinner gift certificates from local restaurants or even a cash bonus. This will drastically improve the attendance. Once I implemented these rewards into my business I saw the difference within the second week of beginning. I even printed out an award certificate for attendance and would hang it on the wall in the break room. It's the simple things that get people motivated, yelling and threatening doesn't have the effect that we would like it to have. You would want to run these incentive rewards for employee attendance each month, if you run them every year the interest will be lost. One of the best ways to track your employee attendance is with a tracking software that is designed just to do that. It will even offer you other features that may be beneficial to other aspects of your business, such as calculating the pay for each employee based on the amount of time that the person worked each week. This will drastically increase payroll accuracy and save you hours every week, because it will all be automated. You will simply input all the information into the software to set up. The information that you will input is the employee's personal information - name, address, phone number, pay rate and job description. You would also put in your companies information - policies for vacation and sick pay, holidays off with pay information and other payment policies. Once this information is in the software there is nothing else you will be required to do, other than maintaining the schedule and the pay rate. If you were to implement the reward incenetives for perfect employee attendance that you will have the ability to print out a report to see which employee has maintained their perfect attendance and deserves their reward and award certificate hanging on the wall. The state holds the items for the owner or heirs until a claim is filed to collect the property.
